Litigation

Throughout its fifty year history, Shlesinger, Arkwright & Garvey LLP has assisted numerous clients in connection with a variety of litigation matters. These matters have been spread across the United States covering all jurisdictions, including the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the International Trade Commission, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. District Courts.

The matters litigated include all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent infringement, trademark infringement, trade dress infringement and copyright infringement. We have also handled numerous ex parte appeals before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as inter parte proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Our firm handles anywhere from twenty to thirty inter partes proceedings at any given time.

All members of our firm are involved in handling various aspect of litigation matters. Generally speaking, it will be the same attorney who handled the prosecution of the trademark or patent application that will be connected with litigation of the trademark or patent. This arrangement assists in the expeditious resolution and handling of potential litigation matters as the attorney has more familiarity with the respective matter.
